They met each other over a Zoom call, then did some sketches, and finally met in person. It turns out they were both a little nervous about painting with a stranger! Their task was to make something together that represented both of them, bright, whimsical and bold. They both wanted to paint something that would elicit happiness. One is quiet and the other is a talker.

They learned from the other that communication is more than just words; it’s watching and responding to the one you are with.

Kochendorfer Brewing Company has a passion for creativity, and so does AutismOklahoma. The two also share a love of art and for people with autism.

From this, the idea for The Art of Beer was born. KBC will release a series of cans to highlight the original works of two pairs of talented artists: one neurodiverse and one neurotypical.

What you see is the result of friendship, partnership, and the magic that happens when Interest + Opportunity meet.
